Planned Giving

“For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations” (Ps. 100:5).

Maybe your best option to make a Kingdom investment is by NOT sending a check to SIM.

Huh?  Really?

Yeah. Have you ever considered what other types of assets you have that you could invest in the ministries? Suppose that ministry in India could really use a new computer and you just happen to have one. Maybe the best investment you could make would be that computer of yours.

Suppose you noticed those shares of your favorite stock. Did you know that you can invest those shares with SIM, claim the current value as a tax-deductible contribution and not pay any capital gains tax on them? Yep. Lots of other people have made similar investments in God's work through SIM.

Besides gifts of stocks and computers, SIM partners invested many other types of assets over the years, including shares of mutual funds, dental and medical equipment for use in clinics and hospitals, vehicles for use in ministry, and a house.  In fact, some ranchers and farmers have given livestock and grains through a partner organization.  All of these assets have been invested into Kingdom work with SIM.

Many individuals need to make an investment later rather than now.  There are excellent tools available to enable this to happen.  Charitable trusts, charitable gift annuities, bequests, and trust distributions are all great options for deferred gifts.

SIM's Stewardship Department would be thrilled to help you cross that bridge and make that planned gift.

Planned giving is a bridge to future blessing. One of SIM’s projects is to rebuild Southern Sudan, which has been devastated by decades of civil war.

This bridge is a model of one being built in the community of Yabus, home to five tribes.
