My name’s Dan Linsz and I’m the Director of Recruitment here at SIM USA. Our family lived in Malawi, Africa for 9 years, returning to the U.S. in June 2007.
My wife and I went to Malawi in July of 1998 to begin a Christian, international school, ABC Christian Academy. The school began with 19 children and now has over 300. From that experience, I thought I knew a lot about kids until I had my own. I’ve learned so much from my 3 boys and learned a lot more about God from them.
The other day I was pulling weeds in the yard and Sammy wanted to help, so he began… watering the weeds. I obviously didn’t need help especially that kind of help! But because he is my son and I love him, I gladly allowed him to be involved in what I was doing. Isn’t that how it is with God? He for sure doesn’t need our help! But he allows us to be involved in what He is doing. Isn’t that awesome?!
